Sephora Haul

Over the past few weeks I've been needing a pick me up and a Sephora haul was just what the doctor ordered.

Korres Mineral Foundation, Buxom Weightless Foundation, Laura Mercier Primer, Becca Skin Perfector, Dolce and Gabbana Mascara

Smashbox Try It Sample Kit and Sephora Color Anthology Eyeshadow Palette,

Smashbox Mascara, Lid Primer, Lip Enhancing Gloss and Eyeliner

Dolce and Gabbana Mascara, Becca Skin Perfector, Laura Mericer Primer

Dolce and Gabbana Mascara, Becca Skin Perfector, Laura Mericer Primer

Buxom Weightless Foundation in Dim the Light

Korres Mineral Foundation in Cool Beige - This light yet opaque powder will be fantastic in the spring and summer months when my skin is not as dry, although I could use it now because the powder is creamy and does not stick to my dry patches.

Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation in Dim the Light - I got a sample of this foundation from Sephora a while ago and I fell in love. Although the full size bottle is not a lot for its price tag you only need a tiny bit to cover the whole face in a creamy, light coverage. It gives a better than skin effect making you look like you don't have a drop of foundation on and just woke up looking that airbrushed.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance Bronze - This gel bronzing primer goes under the foundation to give a lit from within glow. It made me look like the Tropicana girl during the snowpocalypse. This was a 100 point gift.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector - This provides a similar effect as the Laura Mercier Primer but it offers a pearl glow in lieu of bronze. If I do not want to look as sun-kissed I will put this under my foundation to give my winter dry skin some sheen. This was a deluxe sample.

Dolce and Gabbana Passion Eyes Duo Mascara Curl and Volume - This has a fantastic plastic bristle brush with a spoon shape to curl the lashes. The mascara is true black and offers good volume. This also feels like nothing is on the lashes after two coats which is really nice. This was also a deluxe sample.

Smashbox Try It Kit - This is a sample box of Smashbox's best sellers. It has Photo Finish Lid Primer, Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Limitless Eyeliner in  Onyx, Lip-Enchancing Gloss in Illume, and Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black. I bought the kit because of the mascara which is one of the best I've ever used. I also really love the foundation primer but the eyeliner and the lid primer are incredible. The lid primer gives a nude tint to the lids and it doesn't crease so sometimes I will just wear this. The eyeliner is super black and waterproof so it's ideal for tightlining.

Sephora Color Anthology - This is a palette of 70 eyeshadows with neutral and bright color selections. It also has several matte and shimmer shades in each row. This is by far the best palette I have ever used. Every eyeshadow is soft, blendable, and very opaque. It shows well on the lids and last a while even without primer.

Missing I: Graphic Art

My boyfriend just put up these incredible Mega Man minimalistic posters on his wall (similar to these).
These posters completely changed the look of his college apartment and it got me thinking about the small amount of graphic art I have in my apartment and how much of an impact it can make on a room. Without further ado some inspiration from amazing apartments featuring graphic art.

 Butterfly antique found here

Abstract pink found here. Proof a painting can change the look of a room as well as a gilded frame.

 Tree of life. Here
Hope. Here

There's something on the celling… Here.

 Do you Vogue? Here.

50 shades of blue. Here

Dining underwater. Here

Minimalist. Here.

Pop art. Here.

All of these rooms would look a little less POW without their artwork. Do you have any graphic art in your apartment? Tell me in the comment box below!

Missing I: Living Room

My living room is great however I really want to amp it up and get statement pieces to make my living room more special and chic. Here is my current inspiration:

This room has an old-fashioned feel with modern pieces like a flat screen TV. I love the splash of orange in the corner and I would attach hooks to that door to make it functional as well as stylish.

Art can really change a room and abstract art is versatile because depending on the room decor it can change the mood of the room. The hot pink art which gives the room a punk feel and keeps the white walls and grey and black furniture from feeling stark.

White makes everything feel more open so if you have a small space try and bring in white pieces to make your space feel open and bright. This room has floor lightning to reflect on the white walls which also opens it up and the shutterless windows add natural light.

I love the color combo of lemon and teal and this room with its cream and beige canvas and bright colored accents makes for a very inviting living room.

Speaking of color this pumpkin accent wall and chevron black and white carpet make for a crisp contrast. I love the eggplant and zebra fabric chairs so funky.

This look would also be great for a dorm with its bold print and fun throw pillows. I think this couch is also perfect for a small room.

Which is your favorite room decor? Tell me in the comment box below!
